Communion Ministry

It is a privilege and a blessing to be called as a Communion Minister to serve God's holy people. Our Ministry currently has over 90 people, in fellowship with Father Julian, serving Holy Communion in our Parish. Communion Ministers are commissioned to assist in the distribution of Communion and to carry the Blessed Sacrament to the sick and homebound of our Parish.

In response to Jesus' call, we endeavor to humbly assist in the celebration of the Eucharist to nourish the bodies and spirits of the people of God. As special Ministers of Communion it is our dignity and responsibility to affirm that the real presence of Christ through the Eucharist is one of faith, hope and love to each member of our community.

Our lives as Communion Ministers are ones of both being and giving the Body of Christ. Our goal is to be keepers of the faith, living the Catholic tradition of the Eucharist with reverence for Jesus and the joy of our faith, loving our neighbours as Jesus loves us.
