Funeral Reception Ministry

St. Michael Funeral Reception Ministrywould like to thank all parishioners who, over the years, have donated sandwiches and squares for funeral receptions. Your generosity and faithfulness have helped us to provide a caring service to grieving families. This has also enabled us to donate monies to various worthy charities throughout the years.

We are now in the process of making up a NEW list. We are asking all parishioners who wish to continue to donate sandwiches and squares on an on-going basis to please register their names with us again. Anyone who has not been on our previous phone list, we welcome you wholeheartedly to sign up. The more parishioners that are on our list, the less often you will be called upon to contribute food items for funeral receptions. The need for a new list is so that our callers can get a positive response when food items are needed.

Please give this request some prayerful thought and immediate attention. The Funeral Ministry is a much needed (and appreciated) support program for bereaved families. It offers friends and families a gathering area to meet and express their love and support for each other. In all societies, the sharing of food and drink brings a comfort that satisfies not only the body but also feeds the spirit.
