Life Teen

According to the Five Cries of Youth by Merton Strommen, the five most important crises in the lives of Teens are:

• Loneliness - They are disconnected/isolated and technology has paralyzed our ability to build healthy relationships with each other.
• Poor Self-Esteem or Self-Image
• Negative Family Situations
• Fear of Commitment
• Little Room for Joy - Hopelessness - no healthy outlet for the expression of pure joy.

The LIFE TEEN program is a comprehensive youth ministry program with a strong focus on the Eucharist.

Starting with the weekly LIFE TEEN Mass, high school teens are placed in an environment where they have the opportunity to experience fully the greatest gift we have as the Church. This liturgy provides the cultural connection for the Teens, allowing them to take ownership of their faith. They develop a relationship with Jesus that is both personal and real. Immediately following Mass, Teens gather for LIFE Night to learn about the Church and their faith in challenging ways.

Two things attract Teens, The TRUTH and EXPERIENCE. The program educates through creative Bible studies, discussions and personal experiences. Providing powerful liturgies for Teens and their Families helps them experience the power and love of Christ in the Eucharist, the Word of God and each other. The program is effected most powerfully by a group of committed adults with a deep sense of ministry, The Core members devote their time and energy by being present to the needs of Teens in a loving and giving way. The Core member's lives are a reflection of commitment to Christ and His Church.

There are nearly 600 parishes and over 60,000 Teens involved in LIFE TEEN worldwide.
