Rite Of Christian Initiation Of Adults (RCIA)

The RCIA is a sacramental process through which adults are welcomed into the Catholic Community. The process is celebrated in a time frame unique to each person. The heart of the RCIA process is conversion. Sponsorship is of vital importance; each journeyer (candidate) requires a sponsor from the parish to support him/her. The parish community, through witness, worship, service and prayer offers the support necessary for men and women to be initiated into the church.
